How do I create an account?
Download RefriTech Pro from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Open the app and tap "Create Account." Enter your name, email address, and create a password. You will receive a verification email — tap the link to confirm your account. Once verified, you can start using the Free tier immediately.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. RefriTech Pro is built offline-first. The entire diagnostic database (16 systems, 280 symptoms, 1,791 causes), P-T calculator tables, and emergency safety reference are bundled with the app. You can diagnose, run checklists, log maintenance, and capture photos without any internet connection. Data syncs automatically to the cloud when connectivity is restored. Offline mode is available to Pro and Enterprise subscribers.
What refrigerants are supported?
RefriTech Pro supports four refrigerants: R-717 (ammonia), R-744 (CO2), R-404A, and R-454B (low-GWP replacement for R-404A). The diagnostic content baseline is R-717 with inline notes where CO2 and HFC/HFO variants differ. The Free tier includes R-717 and R-404A. Pro and Enterprise tiers unlock all four refrigerants.
How do I upgrade to Pro?
Open RefriTech Pro and go to Settings > Subscription. Select the Pro plan and choose monthly ($14.99/month) or annual ($149.99/year) billing. Payment is processed through the App Store or Google Play. Your Pro features activate immediately after purchase. All new accounts include a 14-day free trial of Pro features.
Can I use this on multiple devices?
Yes. Your RefriTech Pro account works across multiple devices. Sign in with the same email on any iOS or Android device and your data will sync. On Free and Pro tiers, you can use the app on up to 3 devices simultaneously. Enterprise accounts support unlimited devices per user.
How do I export a PDF report?
After completing a checklist, tap "Generate PDF" from the completed checklist detail screen. You can toggle whether to include photos (to manage file size). The PDF includes company branding, facility information, per-equipment sections with all readings and responses, and a summary page with pass/fail counts. PDFs are generated on-device and can be shared via email, AirDrop, or any sharing method supported by your device. PDF export requires a Pro or Enterprise subscription.
What is relief valve tracking?
IIAR and ASME standards require pressure relief valves (PRVs) to be replaced on a 5-year cycle. RefriTech Pro tracks every PRV across all your client sites with installation dates, tag numbers, and locations. The dashboard shows a color-coded status for each valve: Good (more than 12 months remaining), Plan (6-12 months), Schedule (under 6 months), and Expired (past due). You receive alerts as valves approach expiration so you can plan replacements during scheduled outages.
How do I add equipment?
Navigate to a client profile and tap "Equipment Register." Tap the "+" button to add a new piece of equipment. Enter the equipment type, tag number, manufacturer, model, serial number, installation date, refrigerant type, capacity, and location within the facility. The equipment record is used to scope checklists, diagnostic logs, and maintenance entries to specific pieces of equipment at each client site.
Is my data secure?
Yes. RefriTech Pro implements multiple layers of security. Your local database is encrypted using WatermelonDB (SQLite). All data in transit uses TLS 1.2+ encryption with certificate pinning to prevent man-in-the-middle attacks. Authentication tokens are stored in the device secure keychain (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore), never in plain storage. Cloud data is encrypted at rest on AWS. Client data isolation is enforced at the database query layer to prevent cross-account access.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store. On iOS, go to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > RefriTech Pro > Cancel. On Android, open Google Play > Menu > Subscriptions > RefriTech Pro > Cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access to Pro features until then. Your data is never deleted when you cancel. On the Free tier, you can view all existing records but new diagnostic logs are limited to 2 per month.
